  1. The sale will be by way of a “silent auction” that will be open for bids from 8.00am on 22 June 2025 until 5.00pm on 29 June 2025 (the auction period).
  2. A bidder may make as many bids as he/she wishes during the auction period.
  3. All bids are to be made by email to [email protected], identifying the bidder, the amount bid, and an email address and telephone number at which the bidder can be contacted.  All bids must be in dollar amounts and must not be subject to any conditions.  By submitting a bid the bidder undertakes that he/she has the financial resources to pay the amount bid.
  4. All bids will be processed in the order in which they are received at the email address.
  5. All bids received will be published progressively (showing the amount bid but not the identity of the bidder) on the ACRA website <augustarowers.org.au> .
  6. Subject to Rule 7 below, the successful bidder will be the bidder who has submitted the highest bid received by 5.00pm on 29 June 2025.
  7. If, as at 5.00pm on 29 June 2025, two or more bidders have submitted bids of the same amount, then those bidders will be contacted by email and telephone and invited to make one further bid by email to be received by 6.00 pm on that day (the second closing time).  Any further bids so received will not be published on the website at that time.
  8. ACRA will not be responsible for any lack of response to the email sent to a bidder under Rule 7 or for any failure to reach a bidder using the telephone number nominated by that bidder.
  9. The successful bidder will be the bidder who has submitted the highest bid by the second closing time.  If, at the second closing time, two or more bidders have submitted bids of the same amount then the names of those bidders will be placed in a hat and one name drawn anonymously from the hat.  That person will be the successful bidder.
  10. The successful bidder must pay the full amount of the successful bid to ACRA within 7 days of being declared the successful bidder and must then make arrangements for collection of the dinghy
